Welcome and thank you for taking the time to explore my website.
Let me begin by offering a quick glance into my background. Some might be inclined to call it a biography. However, I prefer to call it a snapshot of my career to date. In my mind, 'biographies' are most often reserved for those about to draw their last breath!
Over the past two decades, I've been fortunate to have worked in a variety of creative capacities - primarily in graphic and corporate design, but more recently in film. In 1990, I founded JB Graphix - a humble, micro-sized studio providing graphic design solutions to similarly micro-sized businesses in Adelaide. But, by year 2000, the business had expanded to accommodate a few employees and boasted a loyal national client base. And with the timely introduction of web design and other digital disciplines, and a pending move from a 'room' to more prestigious offices in Melbourne Street, North Adelaide, I changed the official name of the organisation to Zynke Design.
In 2005, I seized an opportunity to follow a life-long passion for film, and while working with Hollywood's BKL Films as associate producer and designer on the feature documentary, The John Searl Story, I penned the feature screenplay The Trade, which was later optioned by noted LA producer Barrett Stuart (of Warner Bro's Rails and Ties and MGM's Pathology).
As jazzed as I was about my second career, time was becoming scarce (along with sleep and a social life). I soon made the difficult decision to sell Zynke Design in May 2006.

Although I admit the move was somewhat gut-wrenching, I'm proud to say that at the time, Zynke was a respected and recognised leader in Adelaide design circles, and supported a diversified international client base with services in all areas of graphic and digital design.
Today, my working life is shared equally between screenwriting and design. Scribing stories and screenplays at nights, in addition to enjoying daytime work as a graphic designer and consultant for a small but loyal list of international clients. Of course, there's always room for one or two more (subtle as a sledgehammer, I know).
Other so-called 'feathers in the cap' include 10 years as a Board Director of Termimesh Southern SA (1993-2003) and Co-Manager of Barratt Wines (2009-2010). I've also been a Professional Member of the Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA), Member and Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and a Certified Professional Manager (CPMgr). And for something a little left field, I'm a proud graduate of Anthony Robbins' Date with Destiny Life Mastery course. So, in the ad-nauseous words of the big guy with the big jaw, big hands and big voice, let me sign off by saying - Live With Passion!
